- Arming your Honeywell Security System depends on which model and alarm pad you are using. In general, however, most systems are activated by pressing your four digit user, or master, code and then pressing the Stay or Away key. If you enter your four digit code and press Away, the Honeywell alarm system will arm all of the devices, including the motion detectors. If you enter your four digit code and press “Stay,” the system will arm all of the perimeter sensors but will not arm the motion detectors, allowing you to freely walk around your home or business while the rest of the alarm system is armed.
- When you enter the armed area, the control pad will announce “Disarm system now.” To disarm the security system, simply enter in your four digit code. When a valid code is entered, the system will beep once and announce “Disarmed ready to arm.” If a valid user code is not entered before the programmed entry delay occurs, the system will enter alarm mode.
